After working with startup companies here what I have learnt:- Most startups companies haven’t gotten everything sorted, it’s usually a learning phase for a while. More like learn as you go, so don’t expect perfection, everyone is learning.- The job role will challenge you, because the company is at its learning phase, there will be need for adjustment especially if you are coming from a company that has mastered its onions.- You will probably do more than your work scope, which is good because you get to learn more.- There is this family bond that is formed due to it being small group.- Things are gotten done faster as there’s not so much hierarchy to go through.- What else have you guys learnt.#learning #startups #work #job

🚀 Startup or 📊 Consulting? This is a question I often hear in discussions around early-career paths. If you know me, you already know my stance: Dare to choose the startup! Why?𝐑𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠Startups provide a platform for fast-paced learning through impactful work. The steep learning curve, the chance to acquire knowledge from various areas, and the opportunity to take on responsibility early – it's a unique journey.𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞At a startup, it's usually easier to take charge and maximize your own impact. You have a level of freedom and autonomy that is hard to come by elsewhere – if you really want to move the needle, no one will hold you back! Now, I don't want to downplay the value of consulting firms. A few years in a consulting role can be a great career booster. However, based on my personal experience, the learning and growth opportunities that a fast-paced startup environment offers are unique. So, if you're standing at a career crossroads, dare to choose the startup. It's an option that will help you maximize your learning and growth in the most exciting way possible.#CareerAdvice #Startups #Consulting #StartupVersusConsulting

Many Students ask me whether working in new startups is beneficial or not.According to meWorking in startups can be beneficial for several reasons. Startups offer unique opportunities for personal and professional growth. They provide a dynamic environment where employees can gain diverse experiences, wear multiple hats, and learn various aspects of the business. This exposure can accelerate learning and skill development. In startups, individuals often have a greater impact and ownership over their work. They can make significant contributions to the company's success and have a direct influence on its direction. This level of autonomy can be empowering and fulfilling.Furthermore, startups have the potential for rapid growth, which can lead to career advancement opportunities. As the company expands, employees may have the chance to take on more responsibilities, progress in their careers, and even benefit from equity participation.Ultimately, whether working in a startup is beneficial or not depends on individual preferences, career goals, risk tolerance, and personal circ*mstances. It's essential to carefully evaluate the specific startup and its culture, growth potential, and alignment with your values and career aspirations before making a decision.#startup #startups #work #business #learning #opportunities #development #students #growth #success

It’s been more than 𝐚 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 for me working at a 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐮𝐩 !I feel it’s true when people say working at a startup in the initial stages of our career is the greatest advantage. My learnings from this 1 year of work experience are unmatched 📈I will surely say that I would have learned and gained hardly 30 percent of these learnings if I had joined an MNC.Startups provide us with a highly flexible work environment where we are able to involve ourselves in various types of work as per our interests. We are able to experiment with many things here.Since the work processes at startups are more transparent,we get a complete understanding of the entire project life cycle. #dataanalytics #1yearoflearnings #datascience #startup #mnc #linkedinlearning #linkedincommunity

Working in a startup can be both exhilarating and challenging. It's a unique experience that offers unparalleled opportunities for growth and development. Here are some of the reasons why working in a startup can be so rewarding:👉 Work on innovative, cutting-edge projects that shape the future of your industry. Since startups are often at the forefront of innovation, you'll have the chance to work on groundbreaking projects.👉 Startups promote collaboration and teamwork with an open culture for communication. Take advantage of the opportunity to share ideas and learn from your colleagues!👉 Working in a startup means more autonomy and flexibility to control your schedule while aligning projects with your strengths and passions.👉 At startups, your actions make an impact. As companies are often small, your contributions directly affect success.Of course, working in a startup can also be challenging. Startups are notoriously fast-paced, and you'll need to be comfortable adapting to new challenges and pivoting as the company evolves. You'll also need to be satisfied with uncertainty, as startups often operate in volatile markets and face significant competition. But despite these challenges, working in a startup can be a tremendously rewarding experience. It's an opportunity to be part of something fascinating and help shape your industry's future. So if you're considering a startup career, don't hesitate – the rewards are well worth the challenges.#mdis #mdissg #startup

You're Failure if you're in Startup.....There is 90% chance that you're going to be a failureif you're working in startup. But let me tell you the lessons and practical knowledgeyou're going to get, big organization can't teach you inshorter period of time.If startup is going in Red zone or failingstill you're learning a lot about exiting and taking right decisions. There is no hierarchy in a startup if you've joined in the initial phaseso you'll work as lead in the startup from day one itself. So myth is proved wrong that "You're Failure if you're in Startup".You'll learn in shorter period of time what others will learn in decades.I've learned this from these real life heroes Raj Shamani Sharan Hegde Ranveer AllahbadiaWhat are your thoughts share in the comments.#workculture #learningprogress #learntoearn

Startup VS Developed Corporation. Here’s today’s 1:1…“Hi Erika, I am currently an undergrad business management student in my final semester. I am juggling two opposite job offers, and could use your advice. What is your opinion on joining a startup versus joining a more developed corporation?”This one is tough because there’s no right answer. When I got out of college, I went for an established job. Then I found myself gravitating towards startups over established companies. I personally wish I had taken the risk and done startups sooner but I’m also really happy where I ended up. It could go either way.I think a startup will give you the most amount of opportunity, chaos, dysfunction and hands-on experience. It’s a way less safe path. It’s also possibly the greatest shortcut. The established company path will teach you how to work at scale, how to obey authority at work and how to follow processes. At some point, a great career should have a mix of crazy weird startups and big companies. I don’t think there’s a wrong answer.I think you should think about money, where you want to live, how passionate you are and the biggest decision factor should be how great the person you’re going to work for is. At this stage in your career it’s all about who you can learn from. What would you do? #careeradvice #startup #developedcorporation

5 reasons "NOT" to join a startup and 1 reason to join one 👇🏻 (I recently read an amazing blog by Chip Huyen; summarising it for you guys)1. You won’t get richMany people still think joining a startup is a get-rich-quick scheme. Here is a stat- 80% of startups fail. 2. You will get Less mentorshipStartups don’t have that many people for you to reach out to in the first place. Large companies, by virtue of having a lot of employees, tend to have many people whose diverse life experience can provide you invaluable advice.3. You might have to do a lot of things you don’t want to doBig companies can afford to hire specialists – people specialize in a very narrow field. Startups want generalists – people who can do multiple things. You might not enjoy writing documentation, but someone has to do it4. No clear career growth trajectoryBig tech companies tend to have a structured way of defining career growth. Early startups have no such structure.5. You’ll pick up bad engineering practicesStartups build from 0 to 1, something from nothing.Adding new things fasttakes precedence over bothadding good things slowandfixing existing things. One Reason to Join a Startup-1. Joining startups is the only way to get 15 years of experience in 5 years. I can't agree more! You might get frustrated at a startup, but this frustration will make you realize what you want and what you don’t want in your career. You might not get rich at a startup, but all the skills you learn there might help you get rich in the future.Tip- When considering a startup opportunity, prioritize the people above all. Don't be swayed by monetary offers or flashy titles. Opt to surround yourself with brilliant individuals you resonate with. While many startups might not make it BUT exceptional people often find their path to success.#startups #entreprenurship #tech

❌I will never work in a corporate environment. This statement isn't an exaggeration; it's a certainty for me. Why? Because I am deeply passionate about working in a startup setting and would always prefer it over a traditional job. Here are four reasons why-🫧Flexibility and Freedom: In startups, there are no rigid guidelines regarding office hours, dress codes or hierarchical communication etc.You have the freedom to approach the tasks in your own way and your performance is judged based on the quality of your work rather than the number of hours you clock in.🫧Lack of Micromanagement: Startups focus on solving problems and achieving goals rather than micromanaging employees with a list of tasks. There's trust in your abilities and decision-making skills.🫧Performance over Degrees: Your background and previous experiences matter less in startups compared to your present contributions. What matters the most is what you bring to the table and the impact you can make now!🫧Continuous Learning: Startup culture encourages continuous learning, regardless of your background or education. eg- whether you're an engineer or a teacher, if you want to understand learn and solve for a marketing or a sales problem - you're welcome to tackle any challenge. What is your take on this?#startups #startups #ojaswinibharti #careergrowth
