The truck driver, Bruce Ziegler, 41, Dent, was injured and has been in Medcenter One since the accident. As of late Wednesday, he was listed as in good condition. Ziegler's friend, Tammy Hunter, also a resident of Dent, said she expects Ziegler to remain at Medcenter One until later next week. In addition, the snowplow driver was injured in the accident and was treated for facial cuts and bruises and released from a Bismarck hospital. Schirado told the Tribune his injuries are causing him to miss a week of work.

He also enjoyed woodworking. She grew up in City and graduated from Valley City State Teachers College and then taught high school English in Fessenden. Viola married Clyde A. Johnson on June 3, 1933.
Following their marriage, she worked for several years in the Home Extension Agent's Office and the city offices in Jamestown. She substitute taught in Fessenden and Jamestown. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moose Club and Eastern Star. She loved to read, listen to classical music and be with her many friends. Above all, she was a devoted mother 1 to her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Holloway, Harlowton, and Elizabeth Louise Young, co*kato, her grandchildren, James Alan Holloway, Mary Elizabeth Bennett, Holly Elizabeth Erickson and Heather Louise Young; and her grandchildren, Riley James Bennett, Brian Thomas Bennett and Morgan Elizabeth Erickson. 7, 1957, he married Joan Brooks in Salina, Kan. He entered the Air Force in 1955 and made it his career, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. He retired with the rank of Sergeant in 1975 at Shepherd Air Force Base. He enjoyed boxing and boxed for the Air Force as an amateur. He served on the Community Grass Roots Organization, Lakota Oyate RMC, Rainbow Project Board Boys and Girls Club, Gaming Commission board, Little Eagle American Legion, and received the Jefferson Award for volunteer services in his community.
He is survived by his former wife, Joan Mountain, McLaughlin; three daughters and one son-in-law, Sonya White Mountain, Tonya White Mountain and Sandra and Gary Welch, all of McLaughlin; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rocky and Emily, McLaughlin, and Stan and Carol, Wichita Falls, Texas; one sister, Josephine White Mountain, McLaughlin; two stepsisters. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday, at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck. Geraldine Akerberg was born June 5, 1925, in Dorchester, Dorset, England, to Edward and Maude Mary (Wellman) Flischer. She was raised and educated in England.
She and William Sigurd Akerberg were married Dec. 20, 1944, in Moroton, Dorset, England. In 1949, she and her husband came to the United States to New England. In 1950, they moved to Bismarck. She employed as a bookkeeper at Montgomery Wards, Dakota National Bank and 1st National Bank, all in Bismarck.
On June 11, 1997, she received the "Someone Special Volunteer Award" from the Make a Wish Foundation where she volunteered as a wish granter for ten years. She liked to knit and was a co-owner of the "Knit Wit" store in Kirkwood Mall. She enjoyed gardening and pets, especially dogs. She is survived by one son, Colin Akerberg, Des Moines, Iowa; one daughter and son-in-law, Astrid and Larry Senger, Bismarck; and six grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; and an infant sister.

Waldo was born on Oct. 17, 1930, the son of William D. and Maria D. (Bornemann) Hintz. He attended parochial school in Hannover and graduated from New Salem High School.
He married Elvera Letzring on Oct. 3, 1953, at Churchtown. They farmed north of New Salem until 1962 and moved to Center in 1965. Waldo was employed in the construction industry, driving gravel truck, building forms for concrete, and performing welding and carpenter work. He also worked on the construction of area power plants.
He particularly enjoyed rebuilding horse-drawn buggies. A member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Waldo loved singing with the adult choir. Waldo is survived by his wife, Elvera, Center; six children, Leatha Hoffman and her special friend, Robert Agnew, Golden Valley, Leone Percival and her husband, David, Mandan, Allen Hintz, Center, Nathan Hintz and his wife, Kimberly, Auburn, Leslie Hintz and his fiancee, Rhonda Nichols, Hazen, Karene Hintz and her fiance, Raymond Hall, Bismarck; nine grandchildren, Michael and Stephanie Six, Andrew Hoffman, Alexandria and Lacey Hintz, Heather and Bailee Hintz, Elise Hintz and Alisha Nichols; one sister and brother-in-law, Marvel and Roger Klingenstein, New Salem; and 18 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
