Hi, I'm Tim and I'm looking for a live-in caregiver, and hopefully a new friend. You'll definitely need to be a homebody type though as it's basically a 24/7 job. There is a lot of free time, however, but unfortunately when I need you, I need you. By regulating my fluid intake, due to my need to be cathed, (to pee, it's easy) you will have 12 hours in the evening (8pm-8am) and night to yourself, but sadly, I may occasionally need you even at night. I'm trying to keep it as real and truthful as possible. It truly comes down to perspective. It can be a dream job and environment or a nightmare. For example, if you were fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home mom, it should be a dream, plus you get paid. However, I do need my butt wiped after my bowel care and shower, hahaha! I'm a straightforward honest man. I'm a 51-year-old quadriplegic male, weighing 150lbs, in need of someone, or maybe even a mature couple, that is dependable, willing to fix a couple meals for us daily, breakfast and supper. I'm not picky and keep things as simple as possible. I do my bowel care and shower every other day. It's all fairly simple, so you don't need a nursing background. I also need someone to help me do laundry, and to keep the place neat, clean, and tidy. I'd expect you to be neat, clean, and tidy as well. Please no partiers nor drugs. If you have back issues, this is not the job for you. A fellow Christian would be wonderful, because we could hopefully grow our faith together and strengthen each other through these crazy times. I'd also "prefer" a mature woman with no or grown independent children. I feel an "ideal match" would be someone recently retired, who wants to supplement their income, while either downsizing or wishes to avoid renting. Being retired would also remedy the insurance issue, as I cannot provide that. I have high speed internet, so working from here could be an option as well. Please have your own reliable transportation. I do not want nor need drama, nor do I want people coming in and out. It's a non-smoking house, so if you smoke, you'll have to do that outside. I'm respectful, appreciative, kind, courteous, and honest. I expect the same in return. I'll supply all the utilities, groceries within reason, and etc. Take care of me and I will you, to the best of my ability, I promise. You will have a fully furnished room to yourself, as well as a bathroom. I can offer $1200 cash per month along with the room and board, which should offer you a great opportunity to save money. "You must also agree to a background check." I hope someone will see this as an opportunity to help yourself, and me as well. I'd truly love an outdoorsy, nature-oriented type person, because this place and those things are some of my passions and would almost surely ensure that we'd get along well. It'd be cool if you were of the prepper mindset too. If you enjoy gardening, there's opportunities for that as well. I live on the mountain just above Jasper, TN, or approximately 40 miles west of Chattanooga. My family and I have been blessed with a beautiful place and an abundance of wildlife to enjoy, as well as many wonderful natural areas nearby to visit and sights to take in. We also have a stocked pond if you enjoy fishing. It's very quiet and peaceful here too. If this sounds like you and you're interested, please contact me. Also, if there's any more info needed, please simply ask. Thanks in advance. Sincerely, Tim
PS: I realize that to some this may not seem to be an adequate amount of pay per the hours. However, I think that if you factor in working a 9-5 job, add travel time, gas, rent, utilities, groceries, and etc that you may end up being able to save more in this instance. As I stated earlier, it all comes down to perspective.
